If My Books Were an iPod Shuffle, What Would They Play?

Life as a new author …

Mind you, I don’t own an iPod Shuffle. I own a Nano but I thought Shuffle sounded better so…

I was going through my playlist and found that some of the songs reminded me of the relationships between the characters in the Blood Crave Series. Whether the beat, or the words, they spoke to me, hehe. That made me wonder. What songs would be playing if my book was the record? If my book was the Walkman, the CD player, the MP3 player?

You get my drift.

I thought I’d list them for your hearing pleasure. So go to your playlists, go on YouTube or iTunes and listen to these songs … they’re great songs. Now, I’m not that technically savvy (Okay, I admit: I’m exhausted beyond belief) so there’s no link to these glorious songs. You’ll have to copy/paste into your search engine, lol.

Dahlia
Help, I’m Alive – Metric
Bring Me to Life – Evanescence
Iris – The Goo Goo Dolls
For the Nights I Can’t Remember – Hedley

Fallen Tears
You Found Me – The Fray
Don’t Speak – No Doubt
No Air – Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown
Sail – AWOLNATION

Rowan
Teeth – Lady Gaga
Shiver – Shawn Desman
Shake It Out – Florence + The Machine
Angel of Mine – Monica

***Can you guess which one’s my favourite?***

Among other things …

So I managed to catch the flu, one of the reasons that it’s been so long since my last post. Only I would have the flu in June. *Shakes head* Hopefully I will get over this soon because I have so much to do. Here’s a few things I’ve managed to complete/accomplish.

1) A blog tour is happening for Rowan which starts today, whoot! Here’s the schedule: https://sites.google.com/site/boundbylovebooktours/christina-channelle-3

2) After many months of being published, I finally managed to make a book trailer for Dahlia. As this is my first time doing this, your opinions would be great 🙂 Book Trailer

3) For those who added Those Four Letter Words to your reading list on Goodreads, thanks! I do hope you will like this little novella of mine. If you missed the synopsis, it’s here.

4) I’m in the works of getting my books in my local library. As it’s the same place where I fostered my love for books, I’m really happy that they will potentially be there 🙂

Pardon any incorrect grammar, I’m not in my right mind at the moment. Right sided headache, generalized fatigue, no appetite…

On the plus side, I lost three pounds!  Always have to look on the bright side, right?

Until next time,

CC

  1. Interesting concept to attach songs to your books. I published a short story collection and now I’m running through each story thinking of the perfect song to be its soundtrack.

P.S. Can you tell me how you got your book on good reads? The process seems to have stumped me 🙂

    1. Hey, Julien.

Well, I do love a good song just like a good book so I thought it’d be neat to relate the two together 🙂

In regards to Goodreads, I put them there myself. Actually, my first book was submitted by a reader if I recall. Just sign up for Goodreads, become a Goodreads author, then manually add your book’s info.

Go to: My Books > Add Books > Manually add a book.

It took me a few clicks here and there to figure it out the first time, lol.

      Hope that helps 🙂

      Christina
